It’s nearly that time of year again– the time to form this year’s choir through an intensive 3 days away from the hustle and bustle of Richmond.

Check the NEW! Repertoire Page (Actual) for the pieces.

DOWNLOAD the info pageCheck the info pack you received with your permission slip. It explains where you need to be and what you need to bring. Are there still questions? Leave you questions as a comment here and hopefully some will help you!

Please note that you need to arrange your own transport to and from the camp. Talk to other Bella parents so we don’t have 21 cars making the trip!

I will do my best to get music out to you in advance of the camp as I did last year, but it might be a bit tough. The best preparation you can do is SING, SING, SING. Get your voice back in shape so that camp is not a total vocal shock to the system.

Repertoire list will be up soon. I will leave a comment when it is.

It will be really important to get the “team” together quickly. The sooner we can learn to trust each other and respect what each person has the offer, the sooner we will make a great sound. Will anyone volunteer to take some team building sessions while we are at camp?

Looking forward to seeing everyone again, and to Bella’s best year yet!

I am sending out music today, so keep an eye out for it! Any work you can do on the music is a help, so please do your best to at read through the pieces a few times while you listen to the recordings I will soon post.

Alex– I will send yours in the post, and also take a set with me. If you would like to pick it up before you go, ring me on 021 711132. I will be in Richmond tomorrow and could drop it off ( you must be busy packing!)

When do you want me to arrive at camp? If you want me to that is.

  Chris Burcin wrote @

Thanks Matt! We definitely want your help, if you are available.

(Same goes to Hazel, Josh and any other Belle a C’Alumni– just make sure you let us know you are interested. Please don’t just turn up!

I am working on the exact schedule, but I expect I’ll need help from lunchtime on the Monday through the end of Tuesday. I know that’s vague, so I will post the itinerary soon.

Any times you cannot come? Otherwise I will just schedule you in.

I’m free for all of that time. What sort of stuff do you want us to do? Sectionals and things?

  Chris Burcin wrote @

I need you for sectionals as well as vocal modelling/ phonation.

I should have thought to send out music to you as well! I’ll upload the stuff I’m arranging at least, and you can listen on the Repertoire (Actual) page to get familiar with all the pieces.

I know that you are all in holiday mode still, but don’t forget to sort out how you are getting to and from camp. Mrs Read (Rebekah’s mum – 544 5363) can offer people a lift in the Richmond area and is also coordinating lifts for others. Please think about this BEFORE THE WEEKEND.

I’ve just uploaded the camp itinerary– I will hang up copies of this at camp, but I thought your parents might like to see what you are up to over the 3 days.

Has everyone worked out transport?

I have also uploaded a couple more resources– the flute accompaniment for Greensleeves, and the chords and lyrics for The Wood Song (a better version)

The rest I will bring to camp.

Does anyone out there own a ukelele or recorder? You had better bring them.

Yes, you have NO idea what you have gotten yourselves into.

i have two recorders i can bring to camp if u want

  Chris Burcin wrote @

Sure, bring ‘em (your recorders).

If anyone wants to bring their own guitar, would be a great idea. Up to you. I will bring a couple of school guitars and some school recorders as well.

Tomorrow!!! I noticed a spike in blog visits yesterday– does anyone have any last minute questions?!

I don’t mind if you or your parents need to ring me with questions. Please use 021711132.

Get to bed early tonight– we are going to have 2 1/2 intense, fun-filled days. See everyone tomorrow!

(and thanks, Anna– Nacho Libre is so not lame)
